Hi, I’m Jon, a former corporate employee turned freelancer.

My professional background is in engineering. I made a living by working an office job in Calgary as a Technologist for 6 years. During this time, I often found myself unmotivated, unfulfilled and stressed – not because I dedicated myself to working long hours but because I didn’t do much of what sparked my inner creative light. I realized the lack of passion for my duties as a 9-5 employee but became aware of the need for fulfillment by pursuing something different.

One thing’s for sure: I love creating images. Photography, architectural and interior design are all enjoyable and pleasing to me. Through introspection, it became easy to envision a more happy and meaningful life.

In 2018 I took the big leap of faith in order to rewrite my professional life script. I decided to leverage the technical skills I gained in the engineering field (CADD) and combine it with my passion for creating images (photography) to produce something of value to others.

My purpose now is to lend my skills to the world of real estate marketing to support agents, sellers, and buyers in achieving their goals. At the same time, my mission with MDRN PEAKS is to make meaning – not make money – not only for myself personally and professionally, but also for those I serve; and to be a contributor – not a competitor – to the real estate market in a way that elevates the standard of quality and changes the culture for the better, by creating consistent, structured, high-quality work that maintains accuracy, trust, and reputation.

This is the change I seek to make, and I look forward to being of service to you.
